Bio:
I belong to a small village in Latur district, Maharashtra. After finishing my schooling from my village, I did my graduation in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune. I then did my post- graduation in Social Work with specialisation in Community Development from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune.
While working as a Chief Minister Rural Development Fellow, in remote village – Melghat Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, I got an opportunity to work closely with Korku Tribal Community and also lived among them. It helped me understand community issues at the grassroots’ level. I have worked closely with district administration and prepared and implemented an inclusive Participatory Village Development Plan. I see Aspirational Districts Programme as a learning experience. It will give me an opportunity to create a large scale impact in a district by working with all stakeholders. I want to work closely with the administration and communities to strengthen the public institutions and committees at village level.
