District administration Garhwa has proposed to conduct a pilot study of a toll free helpline especially dedicated to the girls of the Left Wing Extremist, Aspirational district Garhwa. District Collector, Mr Harsh Mangla, along with Additional Collector Mr Odeya, proposed to launch a toll free helpline by the name Kanya Vaani, in district Garhwa and the Collector expressed “Kanya Vaani” to be a space for the girls, adolescent girls and women of Garhwa, drawing motivation from Akaash Vaani giving voice to many, in India. The pilot study would be conducted by Tattva Foundation and will be held together and funneled across by DDC Mr Naman Priyesh Lakra, SP Mrs Shivani Tiwari, SDO Pradeep Kumar. DSWO Mr Shahzad Parvez. In an effort to connect the populace reaching out the district administration through the medium of the toll free number, the callers will be connected with the NITI Aayog TADP indicators drawn from the championsofchange.com, coordinated by the Aspirational district fellows of Garhwa. The helpline Kanya Vaani aims to reach out to more than 1000 girls during its 3 month pilot project and document the present situation and felt need of the female populace. The girls would then be connected with the Department of Education, Employment Exchange and Technical Skill trainings. Kanya Vaani will be operated by two women from Garhwa district, Zainab, a differently- abled woman with training in teaching and computer skills and Sahrana, passout of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Garhwa.
The MoU for the pilot study between District Administration Garhwa and Tattva Foundation will be spanned across a timeline of three months, February till April 2019, and will aim to connect the female population of district Garhwa with the District Garhwa Administration.
