Bio:
I consider myself as a painter who is trying to paint a picture of a sustainable and prosperous world by adding different colours on the canvas, one at a time. So far, I have used shades of rural and urban development, environmental management, and civil engineering. I plan to expand the size of my canvas, portraying manifold sustainable solutions using different shades of different colours. The Aspirational Districts Fellowship is one such chance.
The idea that excites me to join this initiative is the vision behind this programme. Any nation is as developed as its least developed state and a state is as developed as its least developed district. The programme aims to improve the Human Development Indicators rather than just focussing on skewed economic scenario of a district. Another feature of the fellowship is its selection of districts with Left Wing Extremism, which presents a combination of challenge as well as an opportunity to the fellows. At this stage of my career, I look forward to such combination which will make my experience more diverse and fruitful. I believe my enthusiasm and tenacity will make the biggest contribution to the programme. I hope to contribute from my experience of working to improve livelihoods of farmers under different organisations in different geographies. Moreover, I intend to use my skills in environmental management and civil engineering.
