Bio:
I had joined 5-year Integrated M.S. course at IISER-Pune in 2008. After completion of second year, I and a group of likeminded people started a social club to work for developmental activities in nearby slums. That exposure led me to leave IISER and join development sector. I joined Bachpan Banao Fellowship at Dantewada in 2011. The fellowship was a collaborative initiative of district administration of Dantewada and Bachpan Banao, a non-profit organization and my work was mostly in the education field.
I did my graduation from Mahatma Gandhi University, Telangana in 2015 and completed my post-graduation in Development Management from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research in 2017.
While being associated with Vigyan Ashram, a Pune based NGO from May’14 to September’17, I got to work in Dantewada, Bijapur and Jashpur districts of Chhattisgarh and tribal belt of Odisha and came to know about many issues being faced by the people. Lack of motivation and sparse opportunities were a hindrance to higher studies and employment while lower income levels resulted in lack of food and nutrition.
My motivation to join AD Fellowship was to utilize my experience and learning to implement best programmes. I want to implement projects in innovative and sustainable manner and create more income sources for the families fighting absolute poverty.
