Bio:

My hometown is Muzaffarpur, Bihar and I am a graduate in Prosthetics & Orthotics from National Institute of Rehabilitation Training & Research, Cuttack, Odisha. I also have done my P.G degrees in MBA-Healthcare & MPH-Social Epidemiology from Sikkim Manipal University & TISS- Mumbai respectively.

After 2 years of clinical practice as a Prosthetist & Orthotist in Uttarakhand & M.P, I realized that in clinical practice I will be serving one person at a time but through Public Health I could serve and save millions at a time and so turned to a Public Health Professional and after my 2nd PG degree I started my work as District Epidemiologist in M.P-NHM. There, after getting various levels of experience in a very short duration I realized that to achieve better results a multidisciplinary team approach is needed in many areas hence decide to join as District lead –Swasth Bharat Prerak in TINI TATA Trusts under National Nutrition Mission and was posted in Sheikhpura District in Bihar, there I dedicated around 1.5 years to improve the status of Health & Nutrition of the district through the convergent approach and through team work we achieved various milestones and was appreciated by the District Administration, State Team & Member of Parliament for my contribution.

I was fortunate enough to join this fellowship and as an ADF I wish to learn various sectoral dynamics along with multi-disciplinary thematic areas, working directly with the district administration and various departments/organizations. Under the mentorship of an IAS officer I am sure that I will be learning a lot and helping to improve the HDI of the district through teamwork, time management, innovation, convergence, resilience and consistency.

Being a travel addict I am enjoying my fellowship as A.P is the 7th state where I am living in, although a district as big as Visakhapatnam with an interesting mix of complete urban and core tribal areas along with mixed topography and various other dynamics is not easy to manage but indeed it is a good project to learn, and I wish to keep learning and use all my learning and skills obtained to improve the health & wellbeing of people on this planet by my work as an individual and as member of various dynamic teams.
