Bio:
Growing up in a small town, I always felt deeply connected to the issues and challenges at the last mile. After working for many years in the IT industry following my graduation in Computer Science and Engineering, I decided to do something more than donating to charities.
I did PGDM from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, after which I got a chance to work on public policy advocacy. That work helped me understand the disconnect between ideas and their implementation. While working on healthcare, e-governance initiatives, and digital economy projects, I realized what are the implications if an initiative bridges the idea-implementation divide.
The Aspirational Districts Fellowship provides an impeccable opportunity to work for the holistic development of communities at the grassroots, to bridge the gap between policies and implementation, and gives a chance to learn and implement innovative ideas. Having an interest in Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D), I am sure my experiences will benefit the programme to a large extent. This will also prove to be an immense learning experience, which I keenly look forward to.
