Bio:

I am a development professional by training and researcher by passion. After working with a Public Sector Bank as a young banker, I understood the grassroots level development challenges in rural and urban India.

I felt that the development challenges had to be solved by looking at region specific, community specific interventions. Hence I started my journey by studying Economics to understand the theoretical base of development problems and joined SBI Youth for India Fellowship right after graduating from College.

The unique perspectives I gained from SBI Youth for India helped me become a development professional with a passion for change. I joined a startup that worked with rural women and farmer communities to produce mouth watering candies rooted in our traditions and customs. I headed their community operations, established a procurement center, processing center and trained rural women to help them gain employment at their doorstep.

Aspirational Districts Fellowship is my stepping stone to the world of change making at grassroots policy implementation. This is my journey to learn and work with people at the most important level of administration and impact. It gives me the opportunity to work in the spirit of competitive federalism and learn to make decisions based on data gathering, analysis and experience working in high pressure environment.
