Bio:

Born and brought up in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Pratyush is an engineer turned development professional who chooses society over machines to apply his engineering. He is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Forest Management in Environment and Development Management and has worked in the areas of Financial Inclusion, Climate-resilient agriculture and Sustainable Forest Management.

Before Aspirational District Fellowship he was working as a Program Manager with Society for Resource Planning Development and Research on a World Bank assisted Green India Mission project for Sustainable Harvesting of NTFPs and its Value Chain Development in the districts of Sehore, Hoshangabad and Betul districts of Madhya Pradesh. He also led the projects funded by NABARD, National Medicinal Plants Board, and Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board on climate-resilient agriculture and capacity building of Joint Forest Management Committee in the districts of Mandla and Dindori working with the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups of Madhya Pradesh.

The fellowship will help him to get multi-sectoral exposure and will improve his understanding of various schemes, the complexity involved in government planning and implementation. In the fellowship, he aims to leverage technology to promote good governance and data-driven policymaking bringing in best practices to take up innovative engagements under various flexible funds available with the district.
