I have done my engineering from Ahmedabad and my master in Regulatory Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. After finishing my studies, I joined HCL Technologies for their CSR project in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. During my stint there, I worked for infrastructure and agriculture related projects. My work included reporting, project management and community mobilisation in the field. I was also part of the solar mini grid project in the 47 villages of Hardoi district.
During my work in UP I realised that it is important to understand the government machinery in order to grow professionally in development sector. Aspirational Districts Programme provides the platform to learn about that by being on the field and a part of the system. As an AD Fellow I can use my academic knowledge and research tools to have better understanding for the existing complex problems. I believe that once the problem is better understood by a stakeholder, socially acceptable solutions can be easily found.
