Bio:
Hailing from the coastal city of Visakhapatnam, I have been fond of food right from my childhood. Thanks to my mother who always taught me about the importance of farmers and their struggles in producing the food that is on our plates every day, I had developed an interest towards Rural Management which drove me to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in rural management from Institute of Rural Management Anand.
It was at IRMA where I had been exposed towards the beauty and harsh realities of the rural life. Thereafter, I continued my pursuit towards the betterment of farmers’ lives through financial and market linkages, branding and other value chain interventions for farmer producer companies across the country at Samunnati Finance and Safe Harvest. Later, I undertook a project of starting a Rural Retail Platform for a Producer Company in Odisha with Access Livelihood Consultants (ALC) and Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) which we successfully launched with a zero plastic and sustainable delivery system.
Aspirational Districts program gives me a great opportunity to work closely with the government functionaries and develop a deeper understanding of how different government policies and schemes are implemented at the ground level and the kind of impact created by the same. I shall utilize this opportunity to create some sustainable impact on the lives of my fellow citizens in these LWE affected districts.
