Bio:
A bachelor in Social Work and a master in Development Leadership, I have 4 years of work experience in the development sector. I have worked for Ministry of Women and Child Development and have worked in rehabilitation of juveniles. During my stint as a Gandhi Fellow in Surat, I contributed towards achieving ‘students learning outcome’. During the fellowship period, I lived with the community to understand their daily activities, helped them in their work, conducted community meetings and discussed their problems and suggested solutions. Post Gandhi Fellowship, I joined Goonj and worked on issues like education, menstrual health and community mobilisation. This gave me valuable insights.
I am passionate about creating opportunities in the community in a holistic way, to create enabling environment through various government schemes and to utilise local resources.
