I have completed my Integrated Post Graduation in Engineering in the energy discipline. I have a work experience of three years and have worked with Center for Science and Environment (CSE), the Centre for Environment and Energy Development and the GSES India.
During my stint with these organisations, I worked on various projects mostly related to the development sector.
Despite having a strong engineering background, I always wanted to build my career in the development sector and to work in areas where my academics could be of some benefit to states like Jharkhand. Being born and brought up in Jharkhand, I have a first hand experience of the adversities existing in our society. This helped me develop a sense of belongingness towards people belonging to the lower socio-economic stratum. My deep understanding and sensibilities will also help me in programme planning, implementation and decision-making.
Thus, this fellowship will be a learning experience for me and will also provide me with a platform to work closely with the government for the betterment of people and to actually be a part of the much-needed transformation.
