Last Employer: RangSutra Crafts India Ltd.
Bio:
Born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, I stayed in Orissa from standard IX till XII. As a child, I liked reading books about the common man, slightly more than fiction. I developed a keen sense for wanting to understand the framework of operations to sustain a vulnerable community which took me to TISS for my Bachelors.
I completed my Masters in ‘Women Studies’ from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
In the year 2016, I started working with the social enterprise, RangSutra Crafts India Ltd., founded by Sumita Ghose. RangSutra further sharpened my understanding of sustainable cluster development and the need for communicating the social transformation in written and visual documentation formats. The community development project of RRECL and ADB towards establishing Asia’s largest Solar Park in Bhadla, Rajasthan and in Churu towards developing an all women’s producer company with community women in the roles of a manager, owner and a producer of handmade item, have been my two most memorable experiences of acting as a link between the various stakeholders of development.
