I am a post graduate in social work (MSW) from Delhi University (DSSW).Previously I have had the opportunity to work with Rajasthan SRLM (Rajeevika) and Bihar SRLM (Jeevika).
To me every profession is good in its own ways but the value comes when we work on things we care about! I am sure that my passion and interest lies in community development.
In our day to day conversations we often discuss about that most crucial factor which is missing in our policies-and it’s not the framing but their effective implementation. This fellowship would let me explore more about the “why’s” of the same and closely understand the government machinery and its functioning as Government remains one of the major stakeholders. At the same time it would let me contribute in all the possible ways that one can as a fellow, by being “part” of that process to ensure “good governance”. Also hailing from Bihar, it has always made me think, what can I “do” to change the current state of underdevelopment of such underdeveloped but potential regions. I think this is an opportunity for me to “do” something!!
