Bio:
At 16, I started my legal education at School of Law, Christ University (SLCU) in Bangalore, India. I won the award for academic excellence for getting the first rank in 2012 and 2015, and graduated as the Best Outgoing Student of my batch (2010-2015). Upon graduation, I took my interest in academics forward and worked as a Teaching Fellow at SLCU.
During this time, certain courses and internship opportunities were instrumental in shaping my areas of interest and career trajectory. For instance, the course on ‘Law and Society’ introduced me to the notions of social justice and state obligation.
To pursue these interests, I joined the Centre on the Death Penalty, at National Law University, Delhi.
My work so far cultivated my interest in understanding the social contexts which drive lives of people. Later on in my career I also wish to weave grassroots experiences into academia.
I am looking forward to the fellowship and I believe that my past work experience will come help me perform well.
